Overview

Create a single long-scroll style static landing page using existing guidelines and perimeters to create an effective design.

Challenge

  • Design should be hip, subtle and straight forward, individualistic, unexpected.

  • Offer a seamless and enriching experience that keeps users immersed in the world of music and facilitates connections with like-minded individuals.

Vision

In this project, the main objective is to create a collaborative community that fosters a vibrant music scene. The platform allows users to follow their favorite curators and explore playlists curated by fellow music enthusiasts who share similar tastes. The community actively promotes emerging artists by featuring their work and providing them with a platform for greater exposure and discovery. The platform emphasizes curated playlists that cater to a wide range of moods, settings, and genres, ensuring a diverse and engaging musical experience for users.

Competitive analysis

I took a look at such brands as iTunes, Spotify, Soundcloud, to understand what makes a product Trustworthy, Engaging, Valuable? What are the company strengths and weaknesses? Their content, service, and branding.

I noticed that…

iTunes

  • Homepage states their value proposition that supports their trustworthiness.

  • Clean design, engaging, typeface used for easy reading.

  • Landing page is scrollable and lists everything their service offers.

  • Informative.

Spotify

  • Nice color choices.

  • The welcome screen shows that their product service is inclusive, gives a felling of community.

  • Shows the user affordable pricing for service.

  • Scrollable.

  • Informative.

Soundcloud

  • Evokes excitement from color treatment.

  • User is able to sample and see what they are listening to.

  • The search/filter system is pronounced.
